MPP, VND and the people's war in India
Submitted by Anonyme (non vérifié)Is Maoism a method, or a science? Again, we can see this burning question coming from another question: the Indian question.
In 2009 appeared in Germany a Verein der Neuen Demokratie – Nuevo Peru (Association of the New Democracy – New Peru). This structure, based in North Germany in Hamburg, promoted the line of the MPP - the “Peru's People Movement”, organism generated by the Communist Party of Peru (PCP) abroad.
But since a couple of months, or better said nearly a year, this “VND” attacks violently the MPP.
The MPP would not have any connection to the PCP any more, and any way there would not be a centralized, unified PCP any more. The VND presents itself, logically, as a contribution to the reorganisation of the PCP.
It is of course difficult to know about the situation in Peru. But ideologically, we have a weapon to understand things, realities, and we can easily see that the VND is wrong.
It is wrong for example because it mixes the line of the PCP with anti-imperialism, in a really strange manner. In Hamburg, in November 2012, there will be a conference in solidarity with the people's war in India, and the VND is a part of it (beside the 3a union of marxist-leninist and red autonomous structures in Germany).
But anybody knowing the PCP knows that this party always spoke about the “armed struggle in India” (and not of the “People's War in India”), being really critical of the line of the Maoists of India, and instead of line it should be spoken of ideology.
The VND criticism of the MPP – that the MPP is incorrect to explain that the line of the CP of India (Maoist) is armed reformism – is merely non-sense: it always was the line of the MPP.
The MPP always considered that the Indian comrades were trapped in a militarist line, and were ideologically very weak because of the rejection of the principle of the “thought” as revolutionary guide in a country.
This is nothing new and, indeed, totally logic with the line of the PCP. The VND is incorrect, here.
And practically, the VND is so prostituting the ideology of the PCP on a anti-imperialist line: will participate to the congress all the “maoists” centrists, that has rejected the PCP to support Prachanda and that now try to win something in supporting the Indian revolution.
In the same way, we'll find in Hamburg some organizations representing the erroneous line that exist in Germany: the anti-imperialist line of the “red” fraction of the post-autonomous antifascists.
This line, how interesting it can be, is a mere caricature of the anti-imperialist line of the 1980's, based on the support of the RAF and the building of an armed anti-imperialist front in western Europe (see the 1982's strategic document of the RAF: “the front document”, and of course the famous criticism made by the PCE[r] on the “two lines” in the western guerilla).
This big revolutionary attempt of the 1980's was not a success, for subjective and anti-marxist reasons. And since this period, the German revolutionary movement was still unable to admit dialectical materialism. It is still trapped in the subjectivist approach of reality, in a anti-Stalin position.
The German revolutionaries have no analysis of the formation of the German nation, they never studied the central question for Germany which is “romanticism”, they never studied the question of the influence of the “Junkers” and the city / countryside contradiction...
In this context, instead of helping the movement in Germany to progress on this key element – without dialectical movement, no real synthesis of reality, and so no thought – the VND promotes People's War as subjectivism.
This error is nothing new. In the 1990's, the MPP produced numerous common documents with the Italian Rossoperaio (the future Maoist Communist Party of Italy) and the TKP(ML) (the future Maoist Communist Party of Turkey and North Kurdistan).
Both parties were the nearest from the MPP, but they turned pro-Prachanda, and finally became the central promoters of centrism (with their small French counterpart, also near from the MPP historically).
The VND is making of the error of “forgetting” the question of thought as a principle. Instead of helping revolutionaries in all countries to study their own countries on the basis of dialectical materialism, a “people's war cosmopolitanism” is promoted.
We are here in Sorel's perception of “revolution” as a myth, not Mariategui's and Gonzalo's line of an heroic culture produced by the practical study of reality.
This is absolutely not what the revolutionaries in Germany need. They need to study Franz Mehring, Heinrich Mann, Bert Brecht, Ernst Thälmann to understand the German history and culture.
In this is of the most importance when we know the situation of Germany, where since long now the “revolutionaries” are, for the masses, not the “leftists”, but the nationalists, which managed to appear as real “rebels” through modernization and the general crisis of capitalism.
Is it possible for revolutionaries in a country to make a revolution without a dialectical materialist analysis of reality, of its own country, of the history of its own nation ?
No, it is not possible. And it is not a runaway in a people's war cosmopolitanism that will help. People's war must and will exist – but only based on thoughts, produced in each country through the practical / theoretical aspect of revolutionaries.
And it is very strange that the VND that promotes a specific ideology for Peru – MLM Gonzalo thought – accepts so easily that the CP of India (Maoist) never explains itself ideologically.
Why explain that in Peru without MLM Gonzalo thought nothing is possible, if on the other side “people's war” is enough to make a revolution in India?
The MPP made the subjective mistake of promoting the People's War in Peru as not only the main key, but also the sole key. The MPP was not able to help the formation of thought in national contexts.
The VND is making the same mistake, but reversed: it promotes a kind of relativism.
This all brings only confusion and does not help to understand dialectical materialism, Marxism Leninism Maoism, with the contributions of Gonzalo.
We don't have to accept that and we must consider that Marxism Leninism Maoism is universal and needs thought in each nation, on which is based People's War.
