Mohamed Merah, a modern cannibal

Submitted by Anonyme (non vérifié)

Mohamed Merah is a modern cannibal. He's taken lives exactly as he would want to take possession of them. He was like somebody wanting to erase peoples considered as an obstacle to his own life.

So, he went to Ozar Hatorah school in Toulouse on March 19th, in South of France in the morning. He opened fire immediately, killing a rabbi protecting his two children, then the two children, continued to shoot, and finally ran after a 7 year old girl, catching her hair and shot at point-blank range.

The week before, he killed a paratrooper and two soldier. They were for him symbols of (imperialist) oppression and the Jewish people were, in the same idealist logic of his Islamic conception influenced by salafism, symbol of (capitalist) exploitation.

So, Mohamed Merah did not want a revolution, he did not want to overthrow the oppressor, he was like the Nazis: he wanted to erase the enemy. Nazis have killed millions of Jews with guns or in the gas chambers, to erase them as “obstacle” to the community.

Mohamed Merah acted like a cannibal. Stalin explained how this is to understand:

“National and racial chauvinism is a vestige of the misanthropic customs characteristic of the period of cannibalism. Anti-semitism, as an extreme form of racial chauvinism, is the most dangerous vestige of cannibalism.

Anti-semitism is of advantage to the exploiters as a lightning conductor that deflects the blows aimed by the working people at capitalism. Anti-semitism is dangerous for the working people as being a false path that leads them off the right road and lands them in the jungle. Hence Communists, as consistent internationalists, cannot but be irreconcilable, sworn enemies of anti-semitism.”

This modern cannibalism is a racial chauvinism founded on a anti-capitalist romanticism, that doesn't fight exploitation, but the “money”, the “abstract”.

That is why, after Merah's death by the police, an English teacher in the city of Rouen dared to ask a moment of silence for Mohamed Merah, who was a “victim”. That is why stars of David were also torn or bent over on thirty graves in the Jewish cemetery of in Nice. That is why in Sartrouville, in the suburbs of Paris, there were graffitis: “long live Merah”, “Revenge”, “Fuck the kippah”.

Or why Merah's brother explained he was “proud” of what his brother has done.

The general crisis of capitalism produces an anti-capitalist romanticism, which presents itself as a resolution of the crisis, calls to move back to the “foundations” and to liquidate what blocks the fusion of the community.

Mohamed Mehra was a fascist; islamism is a variety of fascism: it is idealist, pretending to re-unify the community, fighting money and not exploitation, leaving untouched the bourgeoisie.

Fascism has many forms and theoreticians: from the Spanish Ledesma Ramos to the Iranian Khomeini, from the Venezuelan Chavez to the Cambodian Pol Pot, etc. Each time, the purity of the nation is the flag, and idealism the method. The “will” must win over the “money”.

And in this call to erase the abstract enemy, cannibalism is a style, a nazi modern style.
